Get your own plot or contribute to a shared plot. We're estimating that plots of 1 hectare in size could be somewhere in the region of 30,000 pounds sterling depending on the cost of land in different areas including legal fees, etc. These figures are based on research conducted to date and could vary still as further research is required but we feel this could indeed be a realistic guide for the price of a plot. Of course more of us coming on board and purchasing a larger overall plot could allow for bargaining. The other option is people contribute to a trust fund and when a suitable sized plot is found then the project is shared, created and worked upon by its members and volunteers at the time... or a combination of both! We're open to ideas, lets get to know each other and then lets get the ball rolling!! To create a Kin's Domain settlement according to Anastasia's model, a proportion of the overall land will have to be devoted to clear walkways and spaces around each hectare plot (Anastasia recommended at least 3 meters in width) as well as allow for some communal areas for gatherings, celebrations, possible water features and forested areas for communal firewood if required. On any plot a proportion of the land may not be suitable for growing crops and so this may also be kept for communal open space usage. Therefore the guideline cost above already allows for this as well as the legal costs associated with purchasing property. |

How to secure a plot A deposit of £1,000 sterling will confirm and secure a 1 hectare plot for you on this project. Your deposit is taken off the final purchase price, the balance of which will be due just before we are ready to complete on the overall land purchase. The deposit and any donations people make will also assist with further research of land for this project, as well as future development, therefore if for any reason you decide to pull out of the project before we complete the purchase then please consider forfeiting your initial deposit and leaving it with us as a donation.
